Silouette Poetry Poster

Mrs. Sikes' eighth-grade English classes were assigned projects to create a silhouette poetry poster with varied writing assignments—similes and metaphors, diamante and bio poems, acrostics of the students’ first names, short persuasive essays, ladder of dreams, their initials, and their favorite song. Early in the project, each student was encourage to contribute an adjective to a classmate’s bio or diamante poem. Ricky and Mary’s posters were particularly “pizazzy”!
