Hanamaki Visitor

On Wednesday, January 23, 2013, Jessieville Middle School was privileged to have Mr. Ken Kanazawa from Hanamaki, Japan visit our school. Mr. Kanazawa was in Hot Springs as part of a city staff exchange sponsored by Hot Springs' sister city of Hanamaki. Jessieville Middle School is the only school that Mr. Kanazawa visited while in the United States. He toured the school campus, attended classes with the students, and ate lunch with the students. At the end of the day, he presented Mrs. Speers with different Japanese toys for the students.

Jessieville Middle School would like to thank Mary Neilson, Sister City Program Coordinator, for arranging Mr. Kanazawa's visit to the school.
